TrioXFontManager’ Help (version 1.0.0.1)

1: Introduction

      TrioXFontManager is a utility that enables users to easily preview fonts installed in system or located on user disk; display the detail information of the fonts like font family name, font version and copyright etc... Preview characters in grid of the selected font. User can compare different fonts by “Custom String Preview”, by selected multiple fonts in fonts list. TrioXFontManager also provide functions to print out system fonts list and selected font’s “Character Map”.

 

 

2: Install/Uninstall

      It is fairly easy to install TrioXFontManager. Just follow the step-by-step instruction on the install wizard by clicking the “Next” button.

      

If you install it on windows vista with UAC enabled, the UAC warning dialog will pop up, then click on “Allow” to continue install TrioXFontManager as shown below:

      

 

       For uninstall the TrioXFontManager, please go to Control Panel and select Add or Remove Programs to uninstall TrioXFontManager from your system

 

 

 

3: Features

       A: Preview System Fonts

              When you launch TrioXFontManager active system fonts will be automatically previewed at left side of the main windows (red A in Figure 1), and the count of active system fonts are shown on the title of the list. The supported type face of the font will be listed at list “E” (red E in Figure 1)

       A1: Export selected fonts

              If your want to export or backup selected fonts file to other location, just click on the image button (red 1 in Figure 1), a pickup folder dialog will popup that let you choose the location that you want to put your export fonts, the TrioXFontManager will copy the selected fonts from system font folder into the destination folder.

 

A2: Preview fonts on disk

              If your want to preview fonts that does not install in system, please click on the image button “2” (red 2 in Figure 1 above), then select the folder that contains fonts that you want to preview. The TrioXFontManager will preview fonts in list “G” (red G in Figure 1)

 

A3: Quick open system font folder

              Button “3” (red 3 in Figure 1) is a shortcut for system fonts folder, user can quick open the system fonts folder by click this button.

 

 

 

A3: Print system fonts list

              User can click on Button “4” (red 4 in Figure 1) to print out system fonts list as below:

      

 

       B: Character Map

              TrioXFontManager will preview characters in right side grid for selected fonts. (Red D in Figure 1), user can zoom in/out by drag the slider below the character grid. And it also support print out the character map as below:

      

 

      

 

D: Custom string preview

              If you want to preview the arbitrary string that you want, please click on tab “Custom string preview” (red C in Figure 1), the “custom string preview” tab will be show as below:

      

User can select 1-3 fonts at same time and they will be previewed at right textboxes. If you want to change the font size, please drag the font size control, and change type face by change selection of type face combo box.

 

4: Requirement

       Windows XP and above,

       .Net Framework 3.0 or above

10MB disk space,

High color or true color display

 

5: Purchase & Register

      Please note that TrioXFontManager is not free software. After a 14 days trial period you must either buy a license to continue use it or please remove it from your computer.

       If you have purchased a license for TrioXFontManager, click on “About” button. You will see a dialog popup as below:

 

Input you email address and license number and click OK.
